Silverstone Day of Champions
After announcing his retirement from MotoGP™ earlier in the season, the ‘Texas Tornado’ will be making his final Day of Champions appearance as a MotoGP rider to help raise funds for international charity, Riders for Health.

To mark the occasion, Edwards will be auctioning off his very own set of racing leathers to the Day of Champions crowds.

If you want to be in with a chance of owning this piece of history, then come along to the Silverstone circuit on Thursday 28th August from 9am. Tickets for Day of Champions cost just £15 and are free for children aged 15 and under. Tickets can be bought on the gate, or to book tickets visit www.silverstone.co.uk or call 0844 3750 640 and selection option 2.

Also up for grabs at the Day of Champions auction will be signed memorabilia, auctioned off by a host of MotoGP riders, including a helmet from former World Champion Jorge Lorenzo.

As well as the famous auction, Day of Champions is packed with plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained, including live music and stunt shows from the Tigers Motorcycle Display Team and world famous trials rider Dougie Lampkin.

On stage, famous faces from the MotoGP paddock will be battling it out in ‘A Question of Bikes Quiz’ and they’ll be interviews with the up and coming stars of Moto2™ and Moto3™.

All of the money raised from Day of Champions will help Riders for Health ensure health workers in Africa have access to reliable, well maintained motorcycles and ambulances so that they can continue to deliver life-saving health care to 14 million people.
